Grace & Grit
Recovery

CAROL ESTER
My 38 years of continuous sobriety and four years of abstinence serve as the framework for understanding the community that suffers from and struggles with addiction and processing disorders. I strive to meet people where they are, assisting them to discover their own way to recovery. Helping others navigate their own recovery journey by supporting, guiding, mentoring, collaborating, and advocating through the complexities of addiction, family dynamics, and body image issues ground the principles that guide my work.
I advocate for and model in my life sustainable recovery. Sustainable recovery, in my experience, emerges from a holistic “environmental” approach with a full spectrum of solutions. An environmental recovery starts with developing internal and external recovery support, creating a meditation practice, easy healthy eating while incorporating simple hiking/walking/exercise, exploring Feldenkrais breathing with gentle body adjustments and finding our creativity for a multi-faceted mind-body-spirit connection. This environmental recovery also considers and creates personal space at home and looks into animal care and advocacy service to strengthen recovery with opportunities for ongoing internal and external nurturing and healing.
My unique background includes successfully running a multimillion-dollar business while raising two children with individual challenges. These life experiences contributed to the resilience, compassion, and environment for my recovery while I live an engaged, active and purposeful life.

I currently focus my energy supporting those still struggling with addiction while embodying my values of empathy, clear communication, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
Like my children beginning their next chapter, I too, look forward to a next chapter helping people with finding the transformative power and possibilities of recovery with Grace and Grit.
